WOODSIDE BILLIARDS 6MAX LEAGUE SERIES - Event 2
It was a long 7 months ago since Event One of the Woodside Billiards 6Max League was played, so everyone was keen to restart despite not having much chance to practice.
Event Two was kicked off with the Division One match against Dean Bavister and Ade Evlin. Dean made a solid start to the match and soon created a 100+ point lead which remained for most of the first half (score after 90 minutes play: Dean 263-195 Ade). As usual in these formats, the short break seen momentum swing and with just over 1 hour left Ade had managed to return level at 305 points each. This was short lived once Dean had managed to regroup and regain his comfortable lead eventually winning 502-443. Chris Cator came through on top of a high scoring match against Finley Brown, winning 760-528.
RESULTS:
Dean Bavister 502 - 443 Ade Evlin
Finley Brown 528 - 760 Chris Cator
Harley Dyson 498 - 427 Mark Hill
The two century breakers from Event One, Phillip Welham and Jamie Edwards, was the main attraction in the Premier Division. Neither player reached the heights of last November with the highest break of 84 coming from Phillip, but consistent scoring from Jamie helped him on his way to a 621-545 win. Calvin Daws was the highest scorer of the day producing a 3 hour total of 850 points.
RESULTS:
Calvin Daws 850 - 582 Steve Wright
Nathan Mann 660 - 502 Ian Dennis
Phillip Welham 545 - 621 Jamie Edwards
