Norfolk Billiards Challenge Cup 2021
Sunday 22nd August 2021 seen 36 billiards players from Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire visit our Dereham venue for the annual Norfolk Billiards Challenge Cup. It was great to finally have a competition again without any limited attendance and guidelines.
Norfolk A came out winners by defeating Lincolnshire 5-1 in the final.
Highlights of the day for the Norfolk A team:
Jamie Edwards made a nice 117 break.
Nathan Mann was unbeaten in 4 games. Cally Daws & Ian Dennis won 3 out of 4 games.
Despite losing, Phillip Welham had a fantastic high scoring match against Rob Hall, which can be viewed here.
Norfolk B won the Plate competition defeating Suffolk 5-1 in the final.
Rob Hall's 180 was the days highest break, Rob also had breaks of 153 and 143.
Overall it was a great days play at Woodside Snooker Centre, Dereham.
Finally, a quick congratulations to the Norfolk C team who, with only an average age of 22, reached the semi-finals for the first time. Eventually losing to Lincolnshire 5-1.
