WEEK 3 – A GREAT tournament again this week with an electric atmosphere to boot and more new entrants taking to the green baize – welcome Shane S, Michael H, Dennis H, Paul P and Lee H. We had 18 entries this week and this looks set to increase, so please be aware that in the event of this happening again there will be a 1 frame preliminary shoot-out to decide who gets through to the last 16 (players will be selected @ random). Week 2 – Some GREAT moments and performances this week as another great bunch took to the baize – welcome to new entrants Gary G, Jon H, Ben H, Simon S, Reggie E and Matty E. Performances of the Day: WEEK 2 WINNER: Darren Rix HIGH BREAK: Luke Pinches (72) Darren Rix is this week’s worthy winner as his silky smooth ‘Stephen Lee’ cue action helped him see off Grant Miles, Luke Pinches, Reggie Edwards and Jon Hubbard in the final. Wow – What a tournament that was!!!! The 10 red format was well received and it was a pleasure to spend the evening with such a great bunch. Performances of the Day: WEEK 1 WINNER: Orin Drake Orin Drake ran out the overall winner as he played some ‘Jimmy White esq’ shots throughout the day. Orin cued smoothly as he knocked in a flamboyant break of 66, whilst Grant Miles was on the table next to him knocking in what was to be the highest break of the day with a sublime 77. Geoffrey Smith, who at 89 years of age played some outstanding snooker, making his way to the final by beating favourites Luke Pinches and an in-form Grant Miles in the semi-finals with a solid break of 31 in the deciding
